I’m alive! It was dicey for a minute..

So as the title suggests…I’m alive! I wasn’t sure how my first half marathon run would go. I was pretty sure I’d come out in one piece but yanno with 15,000 other runners, mostly women btw, that’s highly questionable.

I’m happy to say I survived! I’m beyond pleased with my time. My garmin watch had a lot of trouble keeping a GPS signal so I didn’t really know how fast I was running. I just figured if I didn’t know I should probably be running faster. In the end I shattered both the goal I had when training and the secret unspoken one that you really, really want but don’t want to tell anyone because you figure it’s impossible. I managed to impress both my brother and sister in law, who do triathlons, which is amazing. They are such motivation to me so now I have even more inspiration.

And of course the sweet Tiffany’s bling at the end for finishing.

I know most people don’t care about running (believe me, I know! My family and friends are sick of it) so I’m sorry for interrupting the reviews and such with this. Back to our regularly scheduled program of books and reviews. Thanks for listening to my babble.

Yay you. Definitely not a runner here HAHAHAHA (unless there was cake at the finish line and only one piece left), but well done. Great reward at the end as well.

    • I had cake at the end. And a cupcake. And ice cream. And fries. I then redid the food the next day. AND I overate on Saturday. I milked this thing.

  2. Congratulations! That’s so wonderful and I’m so happy for you that you not only finished but beat the pants off of your goals. Way to go!

Wow, if I’d known there was Tiffany bling involved I’d have been keener on running at school! Well done.

  4. I was curious if you ever thought of changing the page
layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got
to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way
of content so people could connect with it better.

Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
